If there’s any chance your gloves may be contaminated, you should remove them and dispose of them, before then putting on another pair. We recommend doing this in the time between completing a potentially high-risk activity and beginning a new activity - for example, when treating a new patient.

How To Remove Disposable Gloves

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you master the proper technique for removing disposable gloves and keeping yourself and your environment free of contamination.

1. Pinch and hold the outside of the glove, near the wrist.
2. Peel downwards, away from the wrist, turning the glove inside-out.
3. Remove the glove from your hand. It should now be fully inside-out and held in the gloved hand.
4. With your gloveless hand, slide your fingers under the wrist of the remaining glove.
5. Again, peel downwards, away from the wrist. Turn the glove inside-out as you remove it and pull it over the other glove being held in your gloved hand.
6. Both gloves should now be inside-out, with one enveloped inside the other. You can now dispose of the gloves without contaminating your bare hands.
